At one point in history, being a geek was not a good thing. Geeks were picked on and made fun of. Now they are at the top of the totem pole. They still may be physically scrawny, but they are the quarterbacks of social media, the new student lounge.
Share this with your students. The majority of your students have enough computer knowledge to be considered a geek 20 years ago. So what kind of geek are they? What is now considered a geek? Ask them to think about how these stereotypes have changed, and what they look for in a member of the opposite sex now.
