Pets have always been pampered (the Shih-tzu was originally bred to warm the feet of Chinese royalty), but not like they are today. Dog groomers weren’t very common until recent decades, and spa days were unheard of.Dogs now have daycares and hotels, rather than being left alone or kept in kennels. Some locations have cameras in the pets room so the owner can see them, and the pets even have tvs to watch. There are entire boutiques that specialize in pampering your pets in rhinestone collars and all natural, organic treats.
